GNU Free Documentation License When in Greek history did the religion go from polytheism to monotheism? Q. One day the Greeks were worshipping Aprodite, Zeus, and Hercules. Now, the religion in Greece is Greek Orthodox. At what point in Greek history did monotheism replace polytheism. Asked by the_post2001 - Fri Mar 21 19:58:32 2008 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments A. Classical greek paganism existed throughout much of classical Greece's history. It was only during the Roman era that they saw the spread of monotheism, first in the state mandated devotion to Sol Invictus, then to Christianity. It was not a singular process, but a long, drawn out affair that took centuries. Much of the Roman Pantheon was based off of the Greek ones. Like modern Europe, Greece was considered the primogenitor of civilization, thus were a highly insular society, holding the rest of the world, including their Roman masters, as unwashed brutes and barbarians. Now the Romans were highly tolerant of the religions of others, so much as A: they did not disrupt the public order and B: they offered praises to the Roman gods when… [cont.] Answered by MJR - Fri Mar 21 20:47:03 2008 How can I become a Greek Mythology teacher? Q. I've always been interested in Greek Mythology and want to be a teacher in the subject but don't know what schooling I need to be a mythology teacher. Does anybody know? For high school you would need to go to college and get your bachelor's degree and teacher certification. It would probably take about 5 years. For college you will need a Masters degree or a PhD. Its up to you. Good luck. Answered by Jenn - Fri Jul 18 14:40:13 2008 How can i make a model of the Greek Trojan Horse?
Q. I need to make a model for school. It doesn't have to be a Trojan Horse(u know the big wooden thing the greeks hid in to win the trojan war), but it has to be greek. I want to make a trojan horse though. Does anyone have any idea how to do this? I have looked all over the internet and cant find anything! It has to be on a base, and the base can be no bigger than 22 inches by 16 inches. Help! Asked by Miracle K - Thu Jan 29 19:17:43 2009 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments A. Trojan Horse, Draw an outline in paper of the side view. Cut out of plywood 2 copies of the side. Obtain a bunch of popsicle sticks and Tongue depressors. These are for the cross- members. All of these things are available in a crafts store. You will need rods for the wheels and 4 wheels. Make sure that the scale is correct. You can use instant glue to hold the wood in place, or you can use a hot glue gun. Both don't require a bunch of clamps, just a few minutes of hold time. Hope that this gives you the start you need.
