Jay Perez born in San Antonio, Texas San Antonio is the second-largest city in the state of Texas and the seventh-largest city in the United States with a population of 1.3 million. The city is the seat of Bexar County. Located in the American Southwest and the northern part of South Texas, San Antonio is the center of Tejano culture and Texas tourism.[citation needed] The city is is an American Tejano American English, Spanish, American Spanish, Spanglish, Indigenous languages of Mexico, Ladino musician, notable for his blending of Rhythm and Blues Rhythm and blues, often abbreviated to R&B, is a genre of popular African American music that originated in the 1940s. The term was originally used by record companies to describe recordings marketed predominantly to urban African Americans, at a time when "urbane, rocking, jazz based music with a heavy, insistent beat" was becoming with traditional Tejano music . Initially a backing musician and leading vocalist for Latin Breed and then David Lee Garza y los Musicales, Perez began a solo career in the early 1990s.[1] He has released several solo albums.
